- Host a 3rd Ward “Listening Session” Twice a Year
(1st Town Hall 04/20/10) (2nd Town Hall 10/19/10) - Create a 3rd Ward Website, creating a “one stop shop” for residents of the ward (Accomplished 07/06/2009 www.thirdwardquincy.com)
Accountability- Shining a light on where our tax dollars are spent will ensure our city acts on behalf of the voter, and not outside interests.

(Offered as a motion on 05/04/09 to put the 2009-2010 Quincy City Budget online by June 1st, 2009 and to have the site updated with actuals as they become available. Unanimously approved. Accomplished on 06/01/09 http://www.ci.quincy.il.us/Comptroller/home.htm) From KHQA-TV 7: “…And the 3rd ward’s new alderman Kyle Moore lost no time in fulfilling his campaign promise to set the wheels in motion for posting of the city budget online, with frequent updates. That motion was approved and will go to the proper authorities for development and possible implementation.”
- Proposed the creation of a “21 Day Online Inspection Period” for all proposed budgets. Unanimously approved on 12-07-09. From the Whig Editorial On 12-02-09, “It will encourage greater participation by local residents. Most of all, it will give voters a chance to provide input on the city’s spending plan before it has been finalized. Elected officials should encourage that type of input.“
- Suggested placing our previous fiscal year’s annual report online. Accomplished on 03/29/10: This now gives the citizens of Quincy the ability to see how we’ve actually spent their money in the past.
Efficiency- Developing a Quincy that provides the best customer service for the lowest possible cost and getting rid of wasteful spending so the tax payers know they are getting the most for their money.
